How to paint a glossy white metal day bed being eco-friendly? - paint metal day bed

I have a metal bed, bright white day, a very popular way in some shops. I want to look old, dark.
My first thought was to use spray paint, I bought in dark bronze and dark green. But after I found out lead paint, and I wonder whether you can use a non-hazardous materials and technology.
I would like to receive information and ideas. Thank you!

Sherwin Williams is a product called Metal 0 VOC acrylic. This is an industrial product used for the metal. The 0 indicates that there is no VOC volitile organic compounds (or what is bad for the environment and is usually provided by the smell). The product can be expensive for retailers, but Sherwin Williams will often give you a reduction in the Contractor upon request. When the heart is in the spray shop also stocks aerosol filling, you can add the product and syringes. I recommend a foam roller, miniature high density. It is also important that you properly prepare the surface. You have to sand the surface lightly with sandpaper grit 120th Or, to save time, you may use a medium sanding sponge. Then, two or three layers of color. Do not attempt to which you are not coveredGet the factory to look for it.

LEAD:
It is unlikely that this runway. If you know that it was after 1978, if nothing is done flying. If you carry over the proof of the first edge with strips that can be purchased in hardware stores affected. If you do not lead, not sand! If you took his best to discard it.

In any case, I want to go on a low VOC or zero VOC paint. You can find them in stores, like Lowe's and Home Depot, but you probably need to ask someone in the department of paintings specially for this kind of color. Remember, too, wonder if it volatile organic compounds in the dye. Choice of outdoor painting costs of lead or volatile organic compounds in paints and stains.

You will probably want to sand the surface preparation before paint. For metal, spray paint is best, but I'm not sure whether there is a low VOC content of spray paints.

You can check these sites for very low or zero VOC paint brands: http://www.greenyourdecor.com/category/p ...

If bouht say lead paint on tin and lead, expressed in%. Painting the house can not be more than 0.06% lead in the United States.

When you prepare to go to bed (sand / scrape) not so many doors and water during labor. Clean everything you can see on the left side on the floor.
